Acceptance criteria

Admission Requirements for Master’s Degree Programs:

  1. The student has achieved a minimum cumulative score of 3.00 on scale 4.0 or its equivalent. Students with a level of 2.50 or above may be accepted but conditional.
  2. English Language Proficiency Requirements:
  3. An English Language Exemption may be granted to applicants who speak English as their mother tongue, have grown up in a country where English is the official language, or who have obtained their bachelor’s degree from an English-speaking educational institution.
  4. (33) Credit hours according to the study plan approved by the Board of Deans.

    These requirements are distributed according to the following: Master’s thesis program includes:

    • Study materials : (24) credit hours.
    • Master’s thesis   : (9) credit hours.

Admission requirements for the specialized doctoral programs:

  1. A Master’s degree in any minimum level of specialization, or the equivalent of scientific certificates issued by a recognized educational institution
  2. The requirements for obtaining doctorate (54) credit hours, according to the study plan approved by the Board of Deans, and distributed these requirements as follows:
  • The study of compulsory subjects successfully, which is (21) credit hours
  • Study (15) credit hours successfully from the list of electives
  • The student may make an appointment from the academic advisor and a recommendation from the department committee and a decision of the college committee to study no more than (6) credit hours outside the study plan provided that the subject is relevant to the specialization and shall be counted in the elective subjects.
  • Presenting a thesis that includes an addition to science and knowledge, and allocates them (18) credit hours, and discussed successfully
